I use CBT all of the time to modify student behavior. I model expected behavior, use role play use behavior charts and positive reinforcement for appropriate behavior and prompt students to exhibit appropriate behavior. I could be more intentional in my practice. I will print some visuals from the course resources to remind me to hit all three components.

CBT is one of my most effective theories! I feel as if I could improve my practice by helping myself build on other ways to show students who have special services or needs.

I enjoy having students recall what actions they have taken to improve the issue in question and what they plan to work on in the future.

I could improve my practice by providing students with more mindfulness exercises other than breathing such as taking short walks to center their thoughts, emotions, and actions. The setting would be different as the short walks will take place outside of the office.
