Goal-setting is a great way to encourage students to find solutions instead of focusing on problems and it can be used in so many facets: academics, personal, emotional, etc.
I often feel rushed to come to an immediate conclusion/solution to a student’s issue. This method will encourage me to take time to give contemplative thought to what my students are experiencing and give a more in depth, meaningful and sincere response.
